Holly and Dhruv For FSG!

Hi Fieldston! We’re Holly (she/her) and Dhruv (he/him) and we want to serve as your next FSG co-presidents!!!

Assuming that our incredible poster-editing skills and great taste in movies aren’t enough to convince you, why do we deserve your vote? 

First of all, let us introduce ourselves. You may know us from our many involvements around campus: Holly from the field hockey/lacrosse field (the student section is always crazy) or Dhruv from his work with tennis and the Sher Organization (it’s in the works, go follow @thesherorganization). We are both active members of numerous clubs and have been friends since we both came to Fieldston. (Kinda… We’ve been acquaintances since kindergarten when our paths absolutely never crossed, and became friends at the beginning of high school.) It wasn’t until a few weeks ago, however, that some of our friends suggested: we are the dynamic duo that the FSG will benefit from most! So here we are! We hope that our desire to get things done for our classmates, along with our flexibility, open-mindedness and willingness to listen (not to mention our combined 24 years of experience at Fieldston) make us the perfect candidates. 

Now that you know a bit about us, let’s get to YOU.

Our main priority as your FSG co-presidents is making sure your needs are met. If you read our first email, our goal is—like Brad Pitt in Fight Club––to fight for you! Our presidency will be completely transparent and you can play as much or as little of a role as you want. We aren’t going to make eye-catching promises that we can’t keep or can’t get implemented (however enticing it sounds, there’s just no way we can get Fieldston to build water slides…). 

Here’s the plan (highlighted = our favorites ):

School Spirit

• Fieldston merch committee
• Upper school field day

• – Weekly PA (rather than after assembly) announcements

Food

• 8% discount at Riv(erdeli), we’re working on it…

• Cafeteria open until after advisory 

Academics

• Constant access to grades
• Clarify the CSL requirements earlier
• Non-bias for cabinet members 

• Science center

But that’s not all of it! We intend to listen carefully and hear what matters most to all of you so that we can represent all Fieldston students.
